Michael Craig – Managing Director

MichaelAfter studying Petroleum Engineering at University Michael joined the British Steel Corporation and commenced a successful 25 year plus career in the steel industry. Having worked at Murray International Metals since 1989 and Edgen Murray from 2006 in a variety of roles he was the key driver of the company’s growth across Asia, Middle East and Europe after establishing the initial base in Singapore in 1992 and a variety of jurisdictions thereafter including Australia, Indonesia and China. Latterly he served as Executive Vice President of Edgen Murray. Michael is an entrepreneurial senior executive with extensive board level management experience and the ability to successfully develop new business units in a variety of countries and jurisdictions across the steel and energy industries.



Patrick Boyle – Director

A founder of Murray International Metals in 1976 Patrick has a wealth of experience in the supply of steel for the Global Energy Infrastructure market. Amongst other achievements he was instrumental in establishing the MIM Group operations in England during the 1980’s and thereafter in Houston, Texas. As a Board Member of MIM Ltd he was a key employee during the sale of that the company to Jeffries Capital Partners in 2005 for an overall transaction price of US$ 200 million. He subsequently built business units in multiple jurisdictions including The Caspian and Saudi Arabia and laterally an advisor to Energy Services Steel at the initial founding of the company in late 2012 working in Singapore during this period before returning to the UK.




Alan Hyslop – Director

AlanQualifying as a Chartered Accountant after University in the UK, Alan has worked as a Private Equity investor and former Managing Director with several large financial institutions including 3i and Dubai International Capital. Alan has over 20 years investing and has finance experience, predominantly in Asia and Europe covering start up and established companies. He has extensive experience of and full responsibility for all aspects of the investment life cycle – sourcing, execution and portfolio management, including significant board experience. His experience covers a wide range of clients and business sizes within a broad mix of sectors. He has been based in Asia since 1998.




Chris Conway – Director

After completing his studies in Edinburgh, Chris initially joined a civil engineering consultant but quickly moved into the blossoming oil and gas sector in 1975. Chris has since built a 40 year track record of successfully completing oil, gas and infrastructure projects in Europe and the Far East. He has an ideal blend of experience with major contractors and clients. His career has progressed through positions of increasing responsibility with such companies as British Steel, Brown and Root, Total, Conoco Phillips, BP, Premier Oil and Talisman. Chris is commercially oriented with a solid understanding of the complex operating, approvals and procurement processes required to bring developments from concept to profitable and safe operation. He has brought project commercial understanding to acquisitions and development opportunities before approval, then successfully executed the projects within clear commercial boundaries. Chris first came to South East Asia in 1980 and after a number of years moving between Europe and SEA, made his home in SEA 1997. He is an active walker and traveler.



Lianne Koh – Finance Director

LK-photo1bLianne graduated from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and is a Chartered Accountant with ISCA Singapore. She started her career life with Ernst & Young LLP Singapore as an auditor, and moved on to work with a listed private education provider as a Group Finance Controller, and then commenced her career life in the O&G sector with Sembcorp, Murray International Metals (now known as Edgen Murray), and now Energy Services Steel. Lianne spent 9 years with Edgen Murray initially as a Finance Controller, promoted to Group Finance Controller, and subsequently Finance Director, APAC. She was involved in the acquisition of MIM Ltd by JCP in 2005, the IPO of that company in 2011 and subsequently the acquisition of Edgen Murray by Sumitomo Corp in 2013.
